I’ve been a DIY kinda guy for a long time now, so when I moved to a new home in the mountains of Colorado, I started looking into ways to keep my energy costs down. I have neighbors spending up to $800 a month on propane in the winter, so getting free energy from the sun and wind is a no-brainer. I got a few estimates from contractors who specialize in this stuff, but it would be a long time before I made that money back with the savings from the installation.
